Olam acquires US peanut sheller for US$85m
This will strengthen its position as third-largest peanut sheller in the US, says agri-commodities firm

OLAM International is buying another peanut sheller in the US, Brooks Peanut Company, for US$85 million.
The purchase, coming after its acquisition of McCleskey Mills Inc (MMI) in December 2014, would strengthen its position as the third-largest peanut sheller in the US and expand its sourcing network into new areas in Alabama and Florida, the agri-commodities firm said.
