Olam's Q2 profit up 29% at S$147.7m on stronger sales

Revenue climbs 31% to S$6.52b; CEO expects "fairly strong" recovery in palm oil production

STRONGER sales volume in most business segments, especially for grains and edible oils, gave a fillip to Olam International's results in its second quarter.

Net profit jumped 29 per cent to S$147.7 million from the year-ago period, the group said in a Singapore Exchange filing on Monday morning.
