Pacific Andes executive chairman steps down
PACIFIC Andes Resources Development executive chairman Ng Joo Siang has stepped down from his role as a director and chairman of the group with effect from Dec 14.
He is replaced by Jessie Ng Puay Yee, who has been appointed director and executive chairman, as well as a member of the nominating committee of the board.
Pacific Andes noted that Mr Ng's stepping down is part of the long-term succession planning for the group, with Ms Ng building on her many years of experience within the company. Ms Ng holds directorships in various subsidiaries of the group.
"Mr Ng will continue to act as adviser to the company, providing the benefit of his long-term expertise and experience to the board and senior management," the group said.
The group added that executive director Teh Hong Eng also resigned to pursue other personal commitments. Consequently, Ms Ng will cease to be an alternate director to Ms Teh. Chan Tak Hei, a director at China Fishery, will also cease to be an alternate director to Pacific Andes executive director Ng Joo Kwee.
