Parkson Retail Asia shares continue surge in Friday's session
Department store operator says it cannot explain unusual stock movement

SHARES in Parkson Retail Asia continued to climb on Friday morning, spiking in early trading before closing at 2.9 Singapore cents later in the day.
The counter jumped to 3.5 cents within the first 10 minutes of trading, but later eased to 2.6 cents in the afternoon. Shares in the department store operator finally ended the day's trading at 2.9 cents, up 3.6 per cent from Thursday. Some 4.76 million shares changed hands on Friday.
