PERENNIAL Real Estate Holdings said on Friday it has appointed a new group chief operating officer (COO) and CEO for its healthcare arm with the stepping down of the incumbent.
With effect from March 6, Liak Teng Lit will be the new COO and CEO for Perennial Healthcare Pte Ltd. He is replacing Goh Soon Yong, who will step down on the same day due to personal pursuits.
Mr Liak, in his capacity as group COO, will assist the CEO of Perennial to oversee and manage the general business of Perennial. As CEO of Perennial Healthcare, a newly created position, Mr Liak will assist the CEO of Perennial group to provide strategic leadership in the development and management of Perennial's healthcare business in Singapore and China.
A veteran in his field, Mr Liak was previously group CEO of Alexandra Health System for over four years, and has held various positions as CEO of Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, Alexandra Hospital, Changi General Hospital and Toa Payoh Hospital.
Perennial CEO Pua Seck Guan said that as the group continues to pursue its integrated real estate and healthcare strategy and accelerate the growth of its healthcare business, Mr Liak's leadership and expertise will bring a whole new dimension to the healthcare platform and further augment the senior management bench strength.
The board also thanked Mr Goh for his contributions. Mr Goh had led the development and management of Perennial's real estate portfolios in China, Singapore and other markets in different capacities from the period prior to the listing of Perennial till now.
