A ROCKY poultry market in Indonesia has shown more than ever the need for diversification for Japfa Limited, and proven that it is on the right path in its business strategy. This conviction is stronger than ever before as the Indonesian meat and dairy producer recovers from an anomalous period of extended low prices for day-old chicks in Indonesia, which weighed down its third-quarter results.
"Frankly we cannot tell which business will go up or down, but hopefully with diversification and three or four legs, that will give us more stability," Japfa CEO Tan Yong Nang told The Business Times.
