Post-US election, markets to take cue from earnings, pandemic recovery
Singapore
ASIAN equities registered further gains on Thursday as Democratic challenger Joe Biden solidifies his lead over president Donald Trump, though investors may want to keep an eye on earnings growth driven by Covid-19 recovery in the coming days as it overrides the impact of the US presidency outcome on financial markets.
According to voting data as at market close, Mr Biden had secured as many as 264 of the 270 electoral votes that are required to win the presidential election.
