THE Keppel Corporation and Keppel Land briefings for media and analysts that were postponed earlier this week have been scheduled for Jan 23.
Keppel Corporation's briefing will be held at 2pm on Friday, while Keppel Land's will follow at 5pm.
On Wednesday, both entities announced that they would postpone the previously scheduled briefings, and also halted trading in their shares, "pending release of announcement". The Keppel Land and Keppel Corporation briefings had originally been slated for Wednesday and Thursday, respectively, following the release of their full-year earnings.
The postponement of the briefings and trading halts have stirred up speculation in the market over the last 48 hours, with analysts contemplating everything from a privatisation of Keppel Land to an asset swap between the property firm and its parent company.
