Prudential to split into two by spinning off its UK, Europe business from the rest

BRITISH insurer Prudential will be separating its UK and Europe business from the international business, which covers Asia, Africa and the United States.

This will result in two separately listed companies - M&G Prudential and Prudential plc - with "different investment characteristics and opportunities", the insurer said on Wednesday.
