PT Astra reports 5 per cent bump in Q1 earnings

INDONESIAN conglomerate PT Astra International's net income was up 5 per cent year on year at 5.2 trillion rupiah (S$500 million) for the first quarter ended March 31, 2019, bolstered by increased contributions from its financial services business and heavy equipment, mining, construction and energy division.
Net revenue for the period rose 7 per cent to 59.6 trillion rupiah, as it achieved higher revenues in most business segments.
