AFTER three consecutive years of negative gains, many are taking heart from the Kuala Lumpur stock market's 6.4 per cent gain in the first quarter, amid more furious trading.

The robust performance has raised hopes of an impending bull market, notwithstanding the heftier gains made in other regional markets such as Hong Kong (10 per cent) and Singapore (9 per cent).
