Q&M sets up new unit to grow dental business in M'sia
MAINBOARD-LISTED Q & M Dental Group said on Thursday it has incorporated Q & M Dental Holdings (Malaysia), a new subsidiary in Singapore that will act as a holding company for the company's businesses in Malaysia.
In an update to SGX-INET, Q & M said that it has also through its subsidiary, Q & M Dental Surgery (Bandar Puteri Puchong), proposed to acquire CS Tan Dental Surgery in Kuala Lumpur for about RM300,000 (S$96,774). This in line with its plan to continue the growth of its main dental business in Malaysia.
The dental group added that in Singapore, two new dental clinics have commenced operations. The first is at Yew Tee Point, and the second, at Punggol NEL MRT Station.
It has also proposed to acquire Horizon Dental Surgery (at 151 Chin Swee Road) and Starbite Dental Centre (Hougang Street 21) for S$350,000 and S$200,000, respectively. The acquisitions are aligned with Q & M's plans to expand its operations in Singapore.
