Raffles Medical Q2 earnings up 0.5% to S$16.8m, revenue up 1% to S$120.1m

DESPITE the softer than expected demand from foreign patients, patient load continued to grow, giving a lift to results for Raffles Medical Group in its second quarter.
Net profit edged up 0.5 per cent to S$16.76 million from the year-ago period of S$16.67 million, the group said in a Singapore Exchange filing on Monday morning.
For the three months ended June 30, revenue edged up one per cent to S$120.09 million from the previous year.
Earnings per share came in at flat at 0.96 Singapore cents from 0.96 Singapore cents in 2016.
Net asset value per share edged up to 39.53 Singapore cents as at June 30, from 38.12 Singapore cents six months ago.
Raffles Medical shares finished at S$1.275 on Friday.
