Raffles Medical's Q2 profit falls 15.6% on startup costs for Chongqing hospital

INTEGRATED healthcare provider Raffles Medical Group has reported a 15.6 per cent fall in net profit to S$14.3 million for its second quarter, down from S$16.9 million in the year-ago period, due to continued startup costs at its Chongqing hospital.

Revenue for the three months ended June 30 grew 5.6 per cent from a year ago to S$127 million, amid an increase in contributions from the healthcare services and hospital services division by 7.4 per cent and 3.4 per cent, respectively.
