Corporate governance rankings can yield important investment insight

'TIS the season for corporate governance rankings.

This week, we have the publication of the second iteration of the Governance Index for Trusts (Gift), an index that ranks Singapore-listed real estate investment trusts (Reits) or business trusts based specifically on their unique attributes.

Next week will witness the release of the Singapore Governance & Transparency Index (SGTI) 2018, which ranks all Singapore-listed companies, along with a special section for trusts.
