LAM Yi Young, the deputy chief executive officer of Resorts World Sentosa (RWS), has resigned less than six months after assuming his position.

In a LinkedIn post on Thursday (Jun 1), Lam said that he had given his notice to RWS – which is operated by Genting Singapore – earlier in the day, and that he will be leaving on Jun 30 this year.

He added that he has been on family care leave since the end of March, and that this was originally supposed to last for three months. He said that he decided to extend his break and pursue other interests.

Lam, who was formerly the CEO of the Singapore Business Federation, had taken over the role of deputy CEO at RWS on Jan 1 this year.

Shares of Genting Singapore fell 1 per cent or S$0.01 to close at S$1 on Thursday.
