S-E Asia private equity deals at a low

2015 transactions fall 56% to US$4.2b, the worst since 2004; in contrast, Asia-Pac is up 43% at US$125b

THE Asia-Pacific private equity market saw a record year in 2015, but deal activity in South-east Asia was subdued.

While deal value in the Asia-Pacific soared 43 per cent to US$125 billion, deals in South-east Asia fell 56 per cent to US4.2 billion - the worst showing since 2004.
