Safety, security surveillance a key aviation trend: Stratech founder
David Chew believes flagship product iFerret has already seized first-mover advantages.
SAFETY and security surveillance have emerged as a key aviation trend in 2015, spurred by recent aviation incidents and the increased pursuit by countries of Smart Cities and Smart Airports, said Stratech's founder and executive chairman David Chew.
And he is confident that Stratech's flagship product iFerret - a patented airfield and runway surveillance system that can detect, track and display foreign objects and debris (FOD) in real time - will be a major player in this field.
"The aviation industry has certainly placed greater emphasis on safety - in every aspect - so as to avert the loss of lives, maintain the reputations of the airline and airport, and to uphold a healthy safety record. In some markets, we believe iFerret has already seized first-mover advantages," Mr Chew told The Business Times.
