Samsonite posts 18.6% rise in FY13 net
Net sales up 15% at US$2.04b, crossing the US$2b mark for the first time
SAMSONITE International, the world's largest travel luggage company, posted an 18.6 per cent rise in full-year net profit on higher net sales.
Earnings for the year ended Dec 31, 2013, were US$176.1 million or 12.5 US cents per share, against 2012's US$148.4 million or 10.5 US cents per share.
A cash dividend of 5.68 US cents was recommended, up from 2.67 US cents in the prior year.
