Sanli unit in dispute with supplier over US$530,000
ENVIRONMENTAL engineering firm Sanli Environmental (Sanli) on Thursday said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Sanli M&E Engineering, has received an adjudication application by one of its suppliers for a project completed in early-2019.
Based on the application by the supplier, Calgon Carbon (Asia), the amount in dispute is about US$530,000. This is due to differences in opinion on the value of work done and certain back charges, Sanli said.
The Catalist-listed firm is of the view that the amount being disputed is "without merit" and has responded to the Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC).
Sanli M&E and the supplier started the adjudication proceedings with SMC on July 15, and the determination will be issued by the adjudicator in due course, Sanli said.
The company added that it is now working with its legal counsel to respond to the claims made by the supplier and will make further announcements when there are material developments.
Sanli shares last traded at 7.5 Singapore cents on Thursday.
