SATS posts 4% rise in Q2 profit to S$62.1m

GROUND-HANDLING and inflight catering service provider SATS posted a 4 per cent increase in net profit to S$62.1 million for the second quarter.

Revenue for the three months ended Sept 30 increased 3.7 per cent to S$438.5 million. Earnings per share were 5.6 Singapore cents compared to 5.4 Singapore cents a year ago.

Group expenditure increased 3.1 per cent to S$374.9 million. Expenditures were higher in most categories except cost of raw materials and company premise, and utilities expenses, the group said.
