SBS Transit (SBS) posted a 16.8 per cent increase in its first-quarter net profit to $3.3 million from $2.8 million a year ago, helped by lower taxation.
"Taxation for 1Q14 of $0.6 million was lower than 1Q13 by 56.3 per cent or $0.7 million due mainly to tax credit recognised for the subsidiary of the company," said SBS.
