Secura Group in 2-year alliance with ComfortDelGro Insurance Brokers
SECURITY products provider Secura Group Limited said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Red Sentry Pte Ltd, has entered into a two-year strategic alliance with ComfortDelGro Insurance Brokers (CDGI), an associate company of ComfortDelGro Corporation.
Red Sentry will be CDGI's cyber advisory and consultancy partner, offering cyber security related consultancy, products and services to CDGI's enterprise customers. It will offer free vulnerability assessments to customers referred by CDGI, and then recommend and offer the appropriate cybersecurity products and services.
CDGI, which is mainly involved in recommending and implementing risk protection and transfer solutions through the disciplines of insurance broking, claims and risk management, will in turn be Red Sentry's insurance and risk consultancy partner, offering insurance broking services to its customers.
Secura CEO Paul Lim noted that there are clear synergies between Red Sentry and CDGI and their tie-up presents a complementary set of solutions in risk management. "We are confident that this collaboration will be mutually accretive to both our businesses," he said.
CDGI chief executive Jimmy Chua said: "In the event of a cyber breach, companies may face huge financial costs associated with data restoration, business disruption and potential litigation arising from the loss of personal or confidential data.
"CDGI's cyber insurance solutions offer financial protection against such losses, as well as 24-hour support, with access to a crisis response team made up of specialists in the areas of IT security, data restoration, legal, public relations and IT forensics," he added. "This allows the relevant stakeholders to respond and react quickly to a situation, thus minimising the business disruption to our customers."
