A PROTRACTED downturn in the marine sector and impairments of its UK energy asset pushed Sembcorp industries into the red. It posted a net loss of S$15 million for the fourth quarter, reversing from a profit of S$106 million a year earlier.
Excluding exceptional items, the conglomerate would have posted a net profit of S$126 million for the quarter, a 24 per cent increase from S$102 million a year ago.
