SembMarine unit's Batam centre aims at retaining core skilled worker group

    SEMBCORP Marine subsidiary PT SMOE inaugurated on Thursday a training and learning centre in Batam that will work towards retaining a core group of skilled workers for the delivery of both domestic and international projects.

    Ho Nee Sin, who heads Sembcorp Marine's Offshore Platforms (SMOP) business, said at the opening of the new facility: "The well-trained skilled workforce (numbering) close to 6,000 (in Batam), forms the core human asset of PT SMOE."
