SGX gold futures to start trade on Oct 13
The 25 kilobar gold contract will be settled daily for physical delivery
SINGAPORE Exchange will start trading of its gold futures in two weeks.
The contract will be launched on Oct 13, amid stiff competition in the region. SGX had said in June that the contract could start trading as early as September.
CME Group, the largest futures operator globally, will be launching a physically deliverable gold futures contract in Hong Kong in the fourth quarter of this year, while gold trading for international players has started in the Shanghai free trade zone this month.
