WITH Malaysia's latest movement control order set to be in place from March 18 to March 31, businesses that employ Malaysians and technology manufacturers with plants there are likely to bear the brunt of the impact, said analysts The Business Times (BT) spoke to.
Under the movement control order to curb the spread of Covid-19, all Malaysians are banned from travelling abroad, and tourists are denied entry, although people can still move freely within the country. The majority of business, government and private premises will be closed, as will all schools and places of worship. Public gatherings will also be banned.
