SGX queries OEL on share trading surge

Stock jumps 12% to an intra-day high of 13.2 cents before closing up 5.1% at 12.4 cents

AN unusual flurry of interest yesterday in the shares of OEL (Holdings) Limited, formerly known as Oakwell Engineering Ltd, prompted a trading query from the market regulator.

The Singapore Exchange (SGX) noted "a substantial increase in the volume of your (OEL) shares" yesterday and wanted to know why.
