SGX raises S$600,000 in charity golf event

THE Singapore Exchange's annual flagship charity event SGX Bull Charge raised S$600,000 in a golf tournament held at Sentosa Golf Club's Serapong course on Thursday. The proceeds raised by 38 companies nearly doubled the S$328,000 figure from last year's edition, which involved 53 companies.

"Like the perfect golf swing, charitable work requires a good set-up, plenty of focus as well as follow-through, and we thank our corporate partners and sponsors for their untiring support," said Mr Chew Sutat, SGX Bull Charge chairman and head of equities and fixed income.

The golf tournament will be followed by SGX Bull Charge's Charity Futsal event and Charity Run later this year. All proceeds will go to AWWA Ltd, Autism Association (Singapore), Community Chest, Fei Yue Community Services, HCSA Community Services and Shared Services for Charities.
