SGX soars, prompting query from MAS

THE stock of Singapore Exchange (SGX) staged its largest one-day climb in almost six years on Wednesday, throwing up a flag for the third time in the past seven months.
The market operator's stock climbed 4.47 per cent, or 35 Singapore cents, to close at S$8.18. That was the largest one-day percentage gain for the counter since July 27, 2009, when it rose 4.79 per cent to close at S$8.75, according to data from ShareInvestor.com.
