SGX steps up investor education

TO EDUCATE new retail investors, the Singapore Exchange (SGX) has launched once again its online StockWhiz real-time trading competition. StockWhiz 2015 runs from April 1 to June 30. SGX has also introduced new online tutorials.
The annual StockWhiz contest is open to residents aged 18 and above from Singapore and regional countries. Participants receive S$2,500 of virtual currency to "invest" in more than 400 stocks, real estate investment trusts (Reits) and exchange traded funds (ETFs) listed on SGX. To compete, participants have to download the TradeHero app.
