SIA to avoid Strait of Hormuz amid US-Iran tensions

SOME Singapore Airlines (SIA) flights to Europe may take "slightly longer" routes to avoid Iranian-controlled airspace over the Strait of Hormuz amid ongoing tensions between Iran and the United States, an SIA spokesman said on Friday.
This will affect flights to and from SIA destinations such as Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Dusseldorf, the spokesman added.
