SIA Cargo and Etihad in deal to exchange capacity
SINGAPORE Airlines Cargo and Etihad Cargo have agreed to exchange capacity on services operated by both airlines from Abu Dhabi to London and Frankfurt.
Under the agreement, Etihad Cargo will offer SIA Cargo capacity on one of its weekly freighter services from Abu Dhabi to Frankfurt, in addition to access to its cargo network to the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia. In return, SIA Cargo will offer cargo capacity on its freighter services to London Heathrow that are operated via Abu Dhabi.
In June, SIA Cargo launched weekly Boeing 747-400 freighter services from Singapore to London Heathrow via Abu Dhabi, with a second freighter service on the route to start from Oct 31.
