LOWER expenses, mainly owing to a reduction in material cost, boosted SIA Engineering Group's first quarter net profit by 2.7 per cent to S$41.6 million from S$40.5 million a year earlier.
This was achieved despite a flat revenue of S$258.1 million, up a mere 0.2 per cent up from the previous corresponding period's S$257.7 million.
