SINGAPORE Airlines (SIA) is laying off its cadet pilots and cabin crew trainees as part of the 2,400 staff it is letting go in Singapore and abroad, under the national carrier's retrenchment exercise.
This is due to the "current surplus staff numbers", an SIA spokesperson told The Business Times on Tuesday night.
