WEIGHED down by rising fuel costs and the absence of one-off gains, Singapore Airlines' (SIA) first quarter performance missed analyst expectations.

Net profit for Q1FY18/19 slumped to S$139.6 million from a restated S$337.9 million a year ago as the average jet fuel price spiked by nearly 40 per cent.
