SINGAPORE Airlines (SIA) said on Friday that its senior vice-president of finance Stephen Barnes will continue to be on medical leave of absence "until about late November".
SIA added that this is pending the doctors' review of his condition.
In the interim, Mr Barnes' duties and responsibilities will continue to be covered by Chia Siok Hua, divisional vice-president of finance.
Last month, SIA announced that Mr Barnes was on medical leave of absence for about one month.
The former senior director of portfolio management at aircraft-leasing firm Guggenheim Aviation Partners returned to SIA to assume the role of chief financial officer in 2014. He was with Singapore's national carrier from June 2001 to October 2008, his last-held position being divisional vice-president for treasury and structured finance.
