SIA to take delivery of 18 Airbus planes in the next year and a half

Fuel-efficient A350 will allow carrier to add capacity to long-haul network

    SINGAPORE Airlines (SIA), which received its sixth A350-900 on Friday, is due to collect another 18 shiny new planes from Airbus in the next year and a half.

    The premium carrier took delivery of the 253-seater aircraft at a special ceremony in Toulouse to mark the milestone 10,000th plane that the European plane-maker has delivered to date.
