THE global aviation industry is showing signs of a return, but Singapore Airlines (SIA) will need to lean out of its traditional customer pool in order to benefit from the pick-up.
In the International Air Transport Association's July 2021 survey of airline chief financial officers and heads of cargo, the majority of the sample reported that passenger yields stayed at low levels in the second quarter of the year but are expected to improve in the next 12 months.
