SIA's refreshed superjumbos to take flight on Singapore-Sydney route
SINGAPORE Airlines (SIA) will debut its new A380 superjumbos on the Singapore-Sydney route on Dec 18, replete with updated cabin designs across four cabin classes.
The carrier announced the new cabins - across Suites, Business, Premium Economy and Economy - will be unveiled over Nov 2-4 at an event in Singapore, and will be fitted on the five new A380s the airline has on firm order with Airbus.
The first flight to Sydney, SQ221, will depart at 8.40pm and arrive at 7.40am the next morning, with more destinations to be announced in the coming months.
SIA's superjumbos fly to airports including Beijing, London, Melbourne, Mumbai, Paris and Zurich.
It said that the designs were four years in the making following extensive customer feedback.
