SIIC Env shares rally on news of 1.55b yuan acquisition

SHARES in SIIC Environment Holdings surged on Wednesday after the water-treatment company announced another acquisition and a share consolidation plan.
After an intra-day high of 16.6 Singapore cents, the stock closed at 16.4 cents, up 1.4 cents or 9.3 per cent, and was the day's most actively traded with about 136 million shares changing hands.
