SIIC Environment Q3 profit up 5.3%

SIIC Environment Holdings' net profit for the third quarter rose 5.3 per cent to 94.05 million yuan (S$19.3 million) from 89 million yuan a year ago.

The water treatment firm posted a 21.4 per cent drop in revenue for the three month period to 395 million yuan from 502 million yuan.

Earnings per share for the quarter ended September 2016 stood at 4.17 yuan versus the previous year's 4.00 yuan.

No dividend was declared for the period, the same as the previous year.

For the nine-month period, net profit increased 18.2 per cent to 285 million yuan on the back of a 17 per cent jump in revenue to 1.5 billion yuan due to contribution from newly-acquired entities and existing entities.
