THEME park operator Sim Leisure Group is expecting its total comprehensive profit for the 6 months ended Jun 30 to “increase significantly” as compared with last year’s, owing to a higher revenue from theme park operations, which were resumed last year when the Malaysian government eased its Covid-19 restrictions.
Profits will also be boosted by contribution from a cooperation fee income from Dubai-based Sim Leisure Gulf Contracting, it said in a profit guidance on Thursday (Aug 4).
The company added that it was in the process of finalising its unaudited results for the first half of the year, and that the announcement was only a preliminary assessment based on the group’s unaudited consolidated management accounts.
Shares of Sim Leisure ended Wednesday flat at S$0.14.
