Singapore chalks up 383 deals worth US$43.4b in first half-year
M&A transactions up 16% at 339; value drops 35% to US$40.5b but is the second highest half-yearly figure since 2012

SINGAPORE recorded a total of 383 deals valued at US$43.4 billion in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private equity (PE), venture capital (VC) and initial public offerings (IPOs) for the first half of 2016, compared with a total of 685 deals worth US$103.8 billion for full year 2015.
This was a finding from the M&A publication, "Transaction Trail" report for H1 2016 released by global valuation and corporate finance adviser Duff & Phelps.
