INITIAL public offerings (IPO) by Singapore-domiciled companies, both in domestic and overseas stock markets, have provided a boost to Singapore equity capital market (ECM) activity in 2017, in a preliminary report on Singapore ECMs by Thomson Reuters.
In this year so far, US$6.9 billion in total - across 67 issuers - has been raised by Singapore-domiciled companies tapping into ECMs, a rise of 44 per cent compared to 2016.
