MERGER and acquisition (M&A) deal volumes in Singapore dropped in the second quarter after a relatively robust start to the year.
The volume of completed deals that involved a Singapore party from April 1 until Monday fell 37 per cent to US$9.8 billion compared to the year-ago period, according to data from Thomson Reuters. Compared to the first quarter of the year, the slowdown was 53 per cent.
