FOR the fifth month in a row, Singapore stocks gained ground, as the total value of 748 Singapore Exchange-listed companies rose to S$962.8 billion in April, edging up 0.9 per cent from S$954.4 billion in March.
Compared to a year ago, April's market capitalisation rose 13.6 per cent, according to data compiled by The Business Times. In the corresponding period in 2016, the market cap stood at S$847.8 billion.
