Singapore market retreats slightly in July on pandemic fears

Total market capitalisation of 707 counters listed on SGX fell to S$758b in July from S$761.6b in June

THE value of stocks in Singapore contracted again in July, as the Covid-19 pandemic continued to roil businesses and the broader economy.

The total market capitalisation of the 707 counters listed on the Singapore Exchange fell to S$758 billion in July from S$761.6 billion as at end-June. The number of losers outnumbered gainers 321 to 216.
