    BATTERED by volatility sweeping global financial markets, Singapore-listed companies shed S$83 billion of value in August, and were collectively valued at S$854 billion as at Aug 31, 2015.

    Market capitalisation was down 8.8 per cent month on month. August marked a fourth straight month of declines.
