RETAIL investors in Singapore remain as confident about market prospects as they have been over the past year, according to an investor sentiment survey by fund manager JP Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM).
The JP Morgan Investor Confidence Index, based on a survey of about 500 investors, stood at 121 points in June 2014, unchanged from December 2013 and similar to 122 points in June 2013.
Even as investors stay the course, some are scaling back additional investments. Fewer investors - 46 per cent - are likely to increase their investments in the next six months, compared to 51 per cent willing to do so six months ago. Meanwhile, 44 per cent still said they will maintain their current levels of investment, up from 39 per cent six months ago.
